In early 1978 Dave Tarnowski formed A/DA (Analog Digital Associates). The first product was the A/DA Flanger, which became A/DA’s most successful pedal, shipping more than 50,000 units before it was discontinued in the early 80s.

The pedal includes unique controls such as Threshold for gating, Manual for sweep frequency, Range for altering the flanging spectrum, Speed, and Enhance for adding resonance.
