This card holder was cut from the channel portion of the original Golden Gate Bridge handrail.

Each piece is brushed clean of debris and rough edges and given a fresh coat of International Orange paint. Most pieces contain characteristic weathering in the steel from decades of exposure to the ocean wind and salt air of the Bay.

• Comes from a section of the historic handrail material that was replaced in 1993.
